Do I really pay nothing upfront?
Correct. No setup fee, no deposit and no card on file with us. We build the website, set up and verify your Google profile and get the review system running before you pay anything. The first money you send us comes out of a job that has already paid you.
How does the fifteen percent work?
When a job that came from our work is finished and your customer has paid you, we invoice fifteen percent of what you charged for it. On a $300 drain call that is $45. On a $1,200 water heater it is $180. Jobs that did not come from us are none of our business and we never invoice on them.
How do you know which jobs came from you?
Call tracking. The number on your website, your Business Profile and your ads records where every call came from, and you get that list each month alongside the invoice. If a customer found you some other way, they are not on it.
When would I move to a monthly plan?
When the percentage starts costing you more than a plan would. Against the $950 plan that is roughly $6,300 a month of work we brought you. We will tell you when you cross that line rather than waiting for you to work it out.
So what does it cost to advertise?
Your advertising budget is separate and billed by Google directly to your own card. We do not handle your money and we do not mark up your spend. When you are one van, three hundred to a thousand a month is plenty. There is no sense buying more calls than you can drive to, and you can raise it whenever you are ready.
I have not got my licence yet. Can you start now?
We can talk, and we will tell you what to line up. We cannot advertise you. Florida requires your certified plumbing contractor number in your advertising and Texas requires the Responsible Master Plumber number, and contracting without a licence is a criminal offence in both states. Tell us when your exam is and we will be ready the week your number comes through.
Is there a contract?
No minimum term and no cancellation fee. On the percentage there is nothing to cancel: if we bring you no jobs, you get no invoice. On a monthly plan it is thirty days notice, any time.
Who owns the accounts?
You do. Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Google Business Profile, website, domain, hosting and customer data, all in your name. We access them through a manager account, the same way an accountant accesses your books. If you leave, we remove our access and everything keeps running.
What happens to my website if I cancel?
It stays live, on your hosting, on your domain, working exactly as it did. We just stop editing it. You will not be handed a folder of files and told to find a developer.
How fast will I see something?
The audit lands within two business days and your website goes live in two to five. Business Profile verification runs on Google's timetable, usually a few days to two weeks, and for a new plumber it is the single most important step. Reviews start moving in thirty to sixty days. Ads, if you run them, are live within a week of your budget being set. Local SEO takes three to six months. We would rather give you real timelines than impressive ones.
Will this get me enough work to go full time?
That depends on your area, your pricing, and how fast you answer the phone — so anyone who gives you a number is guessing. What we can tell you is that the first twenty customers are the hardest to find, that is the part we take on, and we are only paid out of jobs you have already been paid for. If it does not produce work, it does not produce an invoice either.
What if I get too busy?
Tell us and we slow it down or pause the ads. We are paid per completed job rather than per lead, so there is no reason for us to flood you with work you cannot reach.
Do you mark up my ad spend?
No. Your advertising budget is billed by Google directly to your own card, and we never take a percentage of it. Our management fee is the published monthly figure and nothing else. Agencies billing ten to twenty percent of spend have an incentive to grow your budget rather than your booked jobs.
Do I need to switch off Housecall Pro or Jobber?
No, keep them. Our Lead Command Center sits in front of your existing system to catch and hold leads. It does not replace dispatch, scheduling or invoicing.
Do you need my licence number?
Yes. Florida requires your certified plumbing contractor number on advertising and Texas requires your Responsible Master Plumber number. This is not optional and we cannot run compliant ads without it.
What if it doesn't work?
You stop. There is no term to run out and no fee to leave, and if no jobs came from us there was never an invoice in the first place. You keep the website, the verified profile, the accounts and the reviews.
